Just to clarify - mine is the black dial / silver subs :lol:

- the AR coating sometimes makes it look bluer in photos

Both my calf straps are gens matey - I ordered them with the watch - you'll be able to get through your local AD

I can see that it is black now looking back at the photos. Great watch Lenny. When I wear my SA which seems to be everyday now I seem to always put my left arm behind my back as I walk thru door ways. Consciously or sub consciously I am not sure. I am used to wearing large watches as my u boats are 53mm wide but not as thick.

IMHO no matter what the cost a watch is meant to be worn, loved, and shared. Take care of it and it will bring a lifetime of joy. Unless you get bored and need another one.

Yes I do like the blue in SA but for me the black is the ultimate. I had a blue and black side by side in an AD and no comparison imho

Wear yours well on the rubber -looks great

Little update - have put it on the brown Gen calf today - it was surprisenly much more firm and slightly thicker padding than the gen black calf that i bought new also - its softening up nicely however

think the brown matches really well to the black arabic dial

wear it whitout fear, the first scratch always hurts, last year i`ve been envolved in a motorcycle accident while using my ling, first concern, count my bones, second concern the breitling, third concern the bike heheheheh

it took a big hit but i actually look at it and see it as a war wound, a medal, cant ever sell that watch, is part of my history

Nice story fella - I manned up tonight and peeled off the plastic wrap from around the casing :lol:

Congrats!!!

Walk across doors & tight places with steel structures with your wrist in front of your body. Watch out for your girl's ring & jewelry.

Regardless, after the inevitable first scratch or two, enjoy the heck out of it & realize that the SA is polished SS, which is easy to touch up with Cape Cod
