Hi all,
First of all, apologies for not introducing myself in my first post.
I'll be doing a lot more reading than posting as I'm completely new to this world of watches! I blame a friend of mine for introducing me to it.
I do own a vintage Omega that has been in the family for a few decades but other than that my watches up to now amounted to Citizens and a freebie branded with the name of a company I used to work for.
I just had never seen watches as something other than a means to keep tab of the time.
So, as you can see there's a good reason I'll be doing a lot more reading than writing here!
Although I had never paid too much attention to watches, I remember that the first watch that caught my eye when I was young was a Breitling - no idea of the model though. So, that's what I considered to be a "nice" watch and that's the reason I decided now to buy a Breitling first. I must say here that my friend wasn't very pleased with it as he is an Omega and Rolex person...
Anyway, I have a couple of watches in mind but knowing myself I suspect I will not stop there. I'll probably apply the n+1 rule we have in the bike world (push bike that is), which states that the ideal number of bikes to have is always your current number plus one.
We'll see how it goes...
