Hi everyone. I have been watching the forum for a while now and decided to start posting. Serving in the military I ripped my knee cap off whilst on ops in Iraq. After lengthy rehab and a bit of compensation I went on holiday to Grand Cayman. Whilst there I decided that my wrecked kneecap could stretch to a lovely timepiece (on a soldiers pay I would never have another opportunity). My finances stretched to a Chrono SuperOcean. It has the old style SS bracelet which I must admit I prefer. Having a small wrist I must admit that it looks quite large but is the perfect weight to remind you that it is there. Never really being a watch man before I am absolutely hooked and a year down the line I just love wearing my watch. I still can not believe the saving I made on tax and the exchange rate as I paid in US $. I saved £700 on the UK price. |

Welcome to the forums - unfortunate tale on how you joined the Breitling world, but glad everything turned out OK in the end. |

Welcome aboard mate! Ripping your knee-cap off has gotta be right up there at the top of the "Things to never do" list! All I can say is I'm glad you managed to find something positive out of it by introducing yourself to the world of Breitling - even if it was via the most horrendous route. Enjoy your time here. |

All is good it has been about 18 months of rehab in the military centre. Back to running and off skiing for a month now which is cool. |

Excellent to hear! Just reading "ripped off knee cap" makes me quiver... Glad you're better and also that you got a great CSO! And of course, welcome! |
