Hello,

Have been looking in on the site since early last year and have found it to have been great help when thinking of changing watches. I was first hooked on Breitling many years ago when the Air Force gave me one..Trouble was they wanted it back so had to buy my own! You are doing an excellent job Breitling Source.

Best wishes to all.

Hi Armchair Pilot.....and welcome....about a month ago I got my first Breitling (a white CA) and then I started watching this Forum.....and it is almost addictive (in a good way).......now just purchased a SA in blue.....I suppose that would be a great first choice, or second or third.....etc. ..

Hope you find another 'match' soon.....and whatever your choice is......our fervent hope is that will NOT be the last.

And pics.....lots of pics......

You had to give it back?

What a rip!

That actually doesn't really surprise me at all, considering that a few years ago I heard a story about the Royal Navy not having enough shells to allow their gunners to practise with, which meant the guys had to shout "BANG" in a loud voice when they pulled the trigger on training exercises!!!! I guess the Air Chief Marshal popped down his local AD with a sack full of Breitlings to be able to afford to buy a few rockets for the planes.

:) Thanks for the welcome everyone.....By the way Brian, Driver 8 and Sharksmouth.... I was on Valiants in the late 50s and on a flag flying trip to the USA we were given tailored lightweight uniforms so as not to let the side down! needless to say as soon as we landed back in the UK they were grabbed back quickly....could not be better dressed than the Group Captain  Never managed to hang on to any of the watches I was issued with, I gather things are just as bad these days

Valliants :D

Beautiful airplane. I saw them in the early 60's at Finningley if memory serves me right - I'd only be 7 or 8 at the time.

That's quite funny actually. :uplaugh:

I have to wonder if the RAF had new pilots give each other "airplane" rides when the price of fuel increased too...

Welcome to the forum, Armchair!

Just borrow a few from us...hell we've got plenty of bullets to throw at people since we go around invading everyone.
