Hi all,
I just joined the forum. I've been a watch fan for quite a while, but not to the level of Brietlings until my first one arrived today, a Steelfish that I asked about in the Replica Identification section.

I bought my first decent watch in Japan when I was in the Navy in the mid 70s. A Seiko 5 Actus automatic, I still have it and it still works great. I've been a Seiko fan ever since and have gotten into Victorinox and Tissot, also. I have a modest collection of Railroad grade pocket watches from the early 1900s, mainly Elgin, Illinois, and Waltham. I love the craftmanship that went into them, but haven't ever found them very practical to carry. That brings me to the Steelfish. It's head and shoulders over any watch I've had in the past. I feel like I've turned a new corner with this one. I can't imagine that it will be my last.

I've been reading here for quite a while before joining and am amazed at the knowledge that is shared here. It's always good to find a forum where people treat each other with respect vs. constantly flaming each other. I'm looking forward to a long stay here, initially to absorb information, and eventually to hopefully contribute some.
