I recently purchased a Breitling Navitimer AOPA. There is no doubt that it is authentic, from the papers to an AD examining it.
But it came with a couple of extra straps. They look good, and the quality is first rate, but the one that was on the watch had raised wings, while these are recessed.

I posted higher resolution photos here, because I could not post that high on the form. Thanks for the input.

This isn't a vintage watch, but a newer one, I don't know why it was moved here.

I was just looking on the internet, and it says the the reverse side of the buckle should have no signing of a stamping pushing through, which it doesn't

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the strap is fake, it says "Cuir" which refers to smooth leather and what is in the picture is trying to look like "crocodile". I would say the deployant is also fake only because the winged "B" is not centered in the buckle. My two cents is that both are fake.

Thanks, not totally unexpected. Not claiming to be an expert, that is why I asked, but Cuir only translates to "leather" not just smooth leather. which is cuir lisse
