Hello all,

Thanks for the recent help with the Top Time assessment. I'm also found myself very drawn to the 808, it's a wonderful size, I love the two register layout, and the slide rule appeals to me. I've found one in good condition and I'd love some opinions on it.

It looks all original as far as I can tell. The serial number dates it to 1970 which corresponds with the arrow index at twelve and the serrated bezel.

Thanks in advance for the help. This forum is an absolute wealth of knowledge.

It’s dirt/crud/oil… Stainless steel doesn’t rust/corrode.

I should make a correction that to say stainless steel doesn’t corrodes isn’t 100% correct … you can get corrosion to stainless with excessive salt exposure for example. That said, your case is not corroded. The watch looks in nice original condition, well preserved.
