So I feel the hands are from the 40s the case number says 58-59, and the face might be early 50s. But then again this could be a fake. I know it needs a lot of work but curious what you think if it’s worth if anything.

Want to make sure if it’s worth buying before hand. Hate to spend hundreds on it to find it’s a fake that needs work.

Not having a pic of the back or movement, my first impression is it's a fake. Look at the Breitling script on the dial. It looks a lot darker than the rest of the print and is off centered towards the '11'. Usually this indicates the 'Breitling' has been added. 58-59 also doesn't sound like a Breitling case number. There should also be a six digit serial number either inside the back cover or on the outside.

Teah I looked online at ref 790 and some have the B closer to the 11 than the 1.

Here are some more photos.

Don't know where you got that 58-59 from but the case looks correct for a ref 1191 and the serial number dates it to 1957. Still think the dial has had something done to it and the hands might not be original for a 1191.
