Post subject:  Is this real?

Hi, I'm new to vintage watches, especially Breitling and I find this watch a little to cheap to be true and I didn't find any other Breitling pictures like these. Can you please share your opinion? Thank you.

What gave it away though? The reference number on it's back? I mean it has flat pushers, which I think should be on vintage Breitlings, watch face and hands look legit... what to look out for?

When you see an obviously redone dial you look deeper and see the later style hands and the incorrect Landeron movement which has been altered with the Breitling stamp (Breitling didn't use this model Landeron). Also look for a corresponding six digit serial number which most fakers overlook.

So the hands are from a newer watch and do not correspond to the dial? How do I know it's a Landeron movement?

I'm afraid it comes with time, experience, and looking at lots of movements.
