Ladies and gentlemen,
I am new, actually not even part of, the vintage breitling world but I am ready to get feet wet with this premier 777. I have no experience with this model and cannot definitely find the history and production online.
I am looking for some info about the model and whether this is a correct example.
They say it's 36mm and I am a little hesitant about the size. My daily wearer is a 40 mm sub but I am hoping to use this as a dressier option

777 is actually somewhere around 37/38mm and is a massive watch for the era. If you can live with the dial condition on this (which I could) and the price is right, this is a truly awesome watch.

As long as the dial is not painted or redone I love the fact that it shows that it's age. Do you have an estimate for the year or era? I think it's the 40s right?

The case date is from 1945. It is all correct (except the crown).

Appreciate your input immensely. This movement is a Venus 175 correct? Does it have an escapement or is it possible to overwind? How many turns to wind would you recommend?
