Post subject:  Vintage Breitling Ref 156 with a dubious movement

I am having a very hard time finding any literature on vintage Breitlings in order to verify the authenticity and completeness of this piece.

Ref: 156 (have not been able to find anything on this but apparently this could also be a 7156)
Serial: 348,000s roughly dated to 1945 per sources on the internet

Concerns:

Upon closer inspection, this watch seems to have an ETA 1080. Some resources date the production of this movement to the early 1950s; making it anachronistic with the age in the serial number. I am also unsure about the dial numbers having been repainted.
The movement seems very clean for a watch this age. According to the seller, this watch had been serviced somewhat recently (this was part of an estate sale) so that could justify that.

Could someone drop some knowledge on vintage Breitlings? I am also interested in learning about where I could go to learn about vintage Breitlings.

Here is a link with pretty high res pictures:

Also if anybody would want to take a stab at appraising this, that would be greatly appreciated. I paid roughly $200 for it with a shaky balance wheel (might have broken pivots).
