This seems to be a nice looking premier up on the 'bay, though the serial puts it in the 40's rather than the 50's as the ad claims. Does anyone see any red flags anywhere? The crown doesn't look right but I'll likely take a punt if thats the only thing.

Thanks as always for your wisdom.

The watch is all correct. As you note the crown is a replacement but this is very minor. The hands are missing all the lume too.

Thanks! I can definitely live with those two issues, as long as the bidding doesn't go too high.

There are 145 watchers of the listing, so I suspect there is some additional movement in the price.

I won the auction for nearly 2250 CAD, (around 1800 USD), which is a price I'm happy with, as long as its in the condition it appears to have in the listing. They shipped it today so it will be an anxious few days looking out for the mailman!

Its here! Running well so far and the dial is very clean. Its noticeably heavier than my 769 and Cadette so I notice it on the wrist a bit more.

The collection so far... Once I get an 806 I'll be in a pretty good place :)

All three of those pieces were purchased with guidance from forum members, so thanks again to everyone here who contributes their knowledge and experience.

Thanks! Turns out the chronograph function of the premier somehow interferes with the movement sometimes and causes it to stop, I guess a trip to the watchmaker is in order, sigh...

A well known hazard in collecting vintage chronographs unfortunately.
