Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum and need professional help for buying this Vintage Breitling. Is this real of a fake one? Any info is appreciated!

The seller provides this info:

"Breitling

Navitimer

Ref: 806 - 42mm Excluding crown.

A beautiful example of this 60's classic. I've owned a few of these in my time and this example is truly one of the nicest I've seen. The case is crisp with nice sharp bevelled edges this watch has not been polished. The dial is fine with good clear tritium markers that are still in good shape unlike many you see which have deteriorated. The watch is running strong and keeping good time for a 50 year old classic.

The photos don't do this watch justice.

Stainless Steel brushed case in Mint condition - Never polished crisp bevelled edges.

Cal 178 Venus movement running strong keeping good time..
SS Screw down crown Ex condition

IF it has a screw down crown if would be a sensational new find
sliderule is an incorrect OEM replacement (an issue on many)
doubt the "never polished" claim, would need better pics to verify

my main issue is the mint green lume on the dial, do not remember this lume color on a "small subdials" Twinplane dial; also maind hands & dial lume are suspiciously similar; interested to hear other opinions.

+1 with Fred for the aftermarket sliderule , no red indexes on this model .
+1 with Fred again with the fresh green luminova , too green and too fresh to be genuine .

Thank you! But does this mean that the watch is totally fake or refurbished?

not fake at all - a basically nice Navitimer with some inconsistencies.
the "screw down crown" claim is nonsense, 806 did not have that.

the "service sliderule" is present on many examples, these are original Breitling spare parts, just not the "correct" version that would have no red printing.

let's see if others will chime in re the lume color, it clearly isn't a recent relume or Luminova service dial, just a color variation that seems "off".

I like it . But if I bought it It would be to wear . lovely looking watch although if you do purchase it the bottom pusher looks a bit loose and will probably need tightening before it is lost.

I canceled the purchase of this one as i really want to buy one as original as possible. Thank you all for your input!!

Can you tell me of is there any reference how the original version of these beauties should look like? Where do i have to pay attention?

What about this one? Seller says it's NOS from 1967.

Thanks again in advance!!
