Ahhh wow! Good call I didn't even notice that first glance (Novice haha). Otherwise does it look OK though? How much would the rust decrease value? Cost of repair? |

Looks correct and it is running so rust might not be too bad but often just the slightest rust will require pieces to be replaced. The last 806/809 I had done with about the same amount of rust cost me over $500. If those movement securing screws are so rusted they snap off it will require more work by the watchmaker which means more $$ to the owner. I think you'll at least have $500 into getting it serviced, a new crystal, and the rust issue addressed. It's probably going to sell in the $2000-$2500 range as is. |
