Hi,

If anybody can help to establish whether these represent reasonable value I'd greatly appreciate it. Some of you were kind enough to help me with info' on one last year, and I'm looking to buy another. My knowledge of watches is pretty much zero, so many thanks in anticipation.

Absence of decent pictures on the first one makes me wary, although the dial looks OK - would like to see a better photo of the B, hands look wrong.

Second one is the serial number range that I would expect, model number is correct, movement looks OK, but Giro d'Italia on the dial is very bold - maybe redone / added??

Thanks for that; I appreciate it. Yes, I thought those blue hands looked a bit suspect.

This looks good to my untrained self but probably way overpriced?

Yes on both counts.

Don't see a serial number either, though may be polishing and might show up with a better caseback shot.

What does the absence of a serial number signify? would you expect to see one both inside and on the caseback? The listing effectively specifies that it doesn't have one.

The fact that these are so very different (one with numbers, one not, different backs etc.) suggests they made more than one version. Is that conceivable?

I have seen versions from about 1951 - 1958, but as best I can recall they have always had serial numbers under the model number on the outside of the case. That one may simply have worn off because the rest of the case looks OK.
