Hey there!

My wife received a vintage watch, once belonging to her grandfather.
We have no idea how old, or which model it is?!?

I looked it up on the internet, but never a identical watch.
No serialnr. at the back, only '1188'...
No 'Geneve' at the 1...
'Incabloc' at the 6...

Is this some subtype of Cadette?

Many thanks in advance!
Br,
Sven

model number is correct for the Cadette range, would assume you will find a Venus 188 and a late 40s serial number inside the caseback.

Thx for the fast reply! Can you point me to some info about this Venus 188 movement and watch type?
Can you put a year against this late 40s serial number?

Many thanks!

We need to see the inside of the caseback to see the serial number, and then we can date it.

Venus 188 is a well known chronograph movement, do a search here and you'll find quite a few examples of them.
