http://www.ebay.com/itm/BREITLING-PREMI ... 1043868813

- Serial 450435 probably puts it in the 30s.
- Dial looks like 2012 vintage
- Seller in Uruguay

Fake or just redone dial ?

The cynic in me says fake.
1. The 796 ref number on the case back appears of a different nature than the serial number. Almost as if one was stamped and the other engraved. Likely, the engraving would have been added later.
2. Richter (p.107, shown in the auction listing) shows a different case configuration for the 796 - gently sloping curved lugs rather than the straight ones here.
3. The serial number indicates a mid 30s piece, but the auction listing compares it to a 1945 picture. Most of the mid 30s pieces in Richter have more ornate dials/different hands.

Piece caught my interest because I have never seen an actual 796 ref before. Maybe if one of the board's experts has some experience with this model, they'll chime in with their view of it.

I don't think that any of it is original.
