It's a complete fake. Redone dial, engraved back, and engraved movement rotor all to make it look genuine. Not even close to being genuine.

Great you did not buy this junk - a total fabrication without any similarities to an authentic piece !

re the "fortune": not to belittle anything, but these Junklings typically sell between $150 and $250 out
of South America.

Thank you WatchFred!

Don't laugh, but is was going to pay in 18000 ZAR (South African Rands) which is about $2300 !!

So yes you did save me a small fortune! :)

ok, this IS serious money.
You should be getting a very nice and authentic 18k Breitling vintage chronograph for this,
authentic Breitling 3-hands in GP or SS typically stay well below $500, 18k well below $1,000

whatever you like and consider buying, post a pic or link here, somebody will be there to advise you.
good luck with your hunt, there are beautiful and affordable pieces out there.

See what I mean... One has to be very careful in South Africa! lol

I feel really stupid right now but I am so very gald that i joined this forum. Even a few consultants over at Breitling South Africa could not give me any information about this watch.

Yes thank you, i have seen the Buy/Sell/Trade and i will scouring the threads for my first Breitling!!

I am astounded my the wealth of honest and pure knowledge amongst these forums - you really do provide a valuble service!

My current collection includes : Tag Heuer Link SS - MOP Dial - Diamond Markers / Rade Ceramica Jubilee Date / Omega Constellation Date 18k/SS Auto

My dream is to own a Breitling and in South Africa New Retail Prices start at around $50000. For this reason I have decieded to start with a fairly priced Vingate Piece.

Sachin, a new SuperOcean 42 retails new for less than R25k in South Africa from AD. I am interested in one, but still between Omega Planet Ocean and this.
