The give away is the size. I don't think I've ever seen a 38mm vintage piece from this era and certainly not one that says 'anti-choc'.

Yep, I might have been wrong on the watch size. Seems like all of the ref 777's I Google are either 37 or 38mm. A lot of them have redone dials though.

Size is right for a 777, but most are gold cased so Premier rather than anti-choc. Don't think that the drilled lugs are correct either.

think all is correct w/ this one, including the drilled lugs, many/all? 40s SS had those (both 734 and 765 I own do).

was initially surprised about the antichoc on the SS dial, but it is consistent w/ other examples:
