Hey forum,

I just found this watch on eBay and thinking about buying it. What do you think, real or fake? And what could the model be? Its 32,5mm diameter and 41mm lug to lug. Also do you know why all makes in the 40's had similar/exact the same design as other makes? Look at the picture of the Olma. Is it because their both fakes?

Thanks!

complete fabrication, no part of this watch ever came closer than about 5,000 miles to a Breitling workshop.

these watches are sold by the dozen, China sellers like kent_ct, *a*a*a*a*a*; ybl.worldstore; watch_collector_2418 and some more

just search for "vintage swiss breitling 17" on ebay.

junk !

Im sad to hear that! Thanks for your answers though. How come these sellers arent getting reported as they are in the "modern" Breitling replica thread? Is it harder to proove to eBay that these vintages are fake?

Exactly that - just look at how much work goes into removing fakes on well documented pieces. With vintage pieces there are hundreds of fakes at any given time and no eBay experts to confirm whether something is real or fake.
