Here is a picture of the 2111 ive bought , i know its not a great pic but what do you think , the local breitling dealer in Leicester has no reason to doubt its genuine and has sent it to breitling for me for a service, I just think that the hands on the subdials are the wrong way round but I suppose they could of been replaced over 40 years, Thanks for any help, pictures don't do it justice , the watch is in very good condition

I'm thinking the hands may have both been off at the same time for a clean or something and put back the wrong way round !

Hands are definitely the wrong way round - red ones are for the chronograph.

Can't comment much more without seeing caseback and movement pics.

JUst a query, if you sent it to Breitling for servicing, did you instruct them to keep everything original to the watch so they don't replace the dial et al?

The only thing that needs replacing are the hands as they have a slight cracking to the luminous area in the middle the rest of the dial is in very good condition

Any thoughts on the serial number Roff , does that seem right for the age

It's 1969 which was the year that the chrono-matic was introduced, so yes.

watch is clearly authentic and in nice condition, the swapped hands are a very minor problem, no need to worry, enjoy your purchase !

Far from too much, quite a good price. Though you try to change that by having it serviced by BUK, let us know how much this costs you in the end ?

Very resonable price ! reminds me of prices of 5 - 6 years ago (when the £ was still a lot higher as well !)

I know I am going to pay over the odds for the service at Breitling , I should of listened to advice on here (Chronodeco ) but being my first vintage piece I suppose I didn't have the balls to send it elsewhere !!!
