Hi!
Bought a watch and would like your comments weather this is real.
On back is ref. nr. 2522.
It is self wind and is similar to those that can be seen in http://www.breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=35654. Dial is similar to model 2615.
Only other info i could find was: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f15/breitl ... 26628.html
But it has a different dial.

Can't really say for sure without seeing the movement and knowing the serial number, but it looks OK so far.

Reference number is 2522.
How hard is to open it to see movement?

Reference number doesn't help, we need the serial number to date it (likely inside the caseback). Take the watch to a watchmaker and ask them to open it for you so that you can take pictures.

Went to watchmaker, but he wasn't very enthusiastic about opening it. But he said that it is original and in good condition.
Found some similar ones and i get feeling that is actual Breitling.

As I just bought it on ebay and don't plan to sell it at least for some time. I will live with feeling that it is genuine. At least it is gold and is self-winding so those two things are not easy to fake.

I am glad you found a watchmaker that is a Vintage Breitling expert on all models, those are very scarce and we should all have and cherish one

And a watchmaker who can confirm that it's original without even opening it up - what a God send

I think that maybe has problems with needed tools to open it up. Maybe will try to see a different watchmaker.

Does anyone can help with info - how to open such vintage Breitling watch?
Otherwise I start to doubt that I will get some watchmaker that can help with this stuff.

From memory it's a snap fit caseback, a watchmaker who attended day 1 of school and has a $5 tool can open it.

sorry, but every watchmaker MUST have one.

the best ones (Bergeon) go for around $20 http://www.pmwf.com/Watches/WatchTools/ ... peners.htm, but this $2 tool would be enough:

I got a picture of the movement. Also by serial number dated it back to 1961.

Watchmaker said that this is authentic as automatic system was also on crystal (as I understood it).
Now 700 euro price seems to be reasonable for this watch.

Thanks!
