Saw this, missing dial lume, damaged dial, replica sliderule, hands relumed/repainted(?)...but high expectations:)

I am not sure that dial is original either, the print looks gilt to me which would point to a 18K gold model , not SS ?
the NON-AOPA typically were much later produced but it has the slightly 'down curved wing tips' typical for V72's and I am not sure the dial feet from a 178 dial would fit a V72 movement ?

Strange.Also true that 178 hands don't fit a V72 and they should have been matt silver plated right? Maybe they are painted? About the dial could it just be the patina instead of gilt? There is a similar rare one offcourse in excellent condition, described in Kurts article

Yes, but that one has 'AOPA' written inside the wing
the one on Ebay just has the wing without AOPA , which typically did not occur until later in the 50ies and on 806's w/ 178's only , as far as I know
