Hi, came across this one, not a huge fan of gold but thought would ask anyway. 1) is it very rare and 2) is this example original?

Not that rare. And not a 1960 (1968). Would want to see a better shot of the caseback, and also concerned that there is no movement shot.

Thanks. Read somewhere that one of the gold Navitimers is extremely rare, any idea which one that is?

Not vintage.

There was a 2002 LE of 10 pieces - QP with rattrapante.

maybe I am looking at a diff picture but there's a great movement shot and quite a clear shot of the back incl hallmarks etc
all seems fine to me with this example ?

I guess clicking on the view all pictures button helps

The only thing on the caseback for me was that the stamped numbers looked a little off, but it may just be the angle.

Thanks guys, he does list some good provenance though but without proof it would mean very little!

This one is as new and has an incredible (but true) history. It comes directly from a descendant of its owner, none other than Robert Buchet, the former Porsche driver from the Le Mans 24-hour race. He had is own stable of racing cars, and this watch served inside his Porsche 917! Simply a true adventurer's watch in almost new condition and clearly a rare collectible.
