Post subject:  Dodgy vintage Breitling

Hello everyone

This is my first post and follows my having bought a 'vintage' Breitling and being so convinced of it's authenticity, I sent it off to B-UK for a service They in turn sent it off to Switzerland and.... you can guess the rest - a complete lemon
It looks as if the item originated from Florida - so I have had my warning shot !!
Not to be deterred though - I do collect a diverse range of Breitlings and would appreciate the forums view of the enclosede-bay auction

That looks pretty nice, 1946 178. Only thing that I am not 100% convinced about is that I thought that 18k 178s were tagged as Premier on dial and movement, but I see no evidence of anything being redone.

have seen several untouched (seemingly, at least) 18ks from the mid 40s without the Premier markings.
let us see what Craig thinks about this one, but sure looked tempting enough for me :oops:
