Hi all, visiting from over at the Rolex forums. Came across a barn find 765 that I’m not sure if it’s real or not. I can’t seem to find any matching images of the logo or watch. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Unusual but real I think.usually the 765 AOPA are black, and the floppy wing logo is a bit odd but I “ think” I’ve seen it before. No examples to show though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Could also be a Wakmann watch ( although it has the B crown) so a movement shot would be advised.

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up picking it up shortly after my first post.

I’m fairly convinced now it’s authentic. The silver dial now is the only thing that seems unusual to me now and yes the logo looks odd. I’ve searched every term I can think of to find a picture of another one like it however I can’t seem to find one. The wing on this one seem to have more curve and possibly more detail than the black dial. The pictures of the black ones have very straight wings with little detail.

Here’s some more pics that I took.

I always call those the Wakmann wings as they're the style used on the Wakmann AOPA models. Not totally unusual to see them on a Breitling also.
