Breitling Navitimer 806, SN 1,160,xxx (1967 production)

Price: $4200 shipped to U.S. addresses. Int’l shipping at buyer’s cost.

Details

Dial / Crystal: Super high gloss dial indicative of 60s era Navitimers. Visible indentation of the right sub register extending outward to the slide rule. Small crease within the right sub register. Beautiful color/patina to the tritium lume; hour plots are fully intact. Handset lume is fully intact. Naturally occurring tritium reaction can be seen around the lume sticks. Replacement crystal is in excellent condition but domed curvature obscures the full visibility of the slide rule. Some visible dust particles inside the crystal.

Bezel: Bi-directional bezel lacks proper tension (a bit too loose).

Movement: Manual winding Venus 178. Movement is “WOG” stamped indicating that the watch was imported to the U.S.

Case / Crown / Pushers: Case exhibits sharp lines and has likely never been unpolished. Some very light surface scratches on lugs and caseback. Unsigned replacement crown. Original pushers.

Bracelet: Unsigned stainless steel bracelet as installed by the original owner.

Accessories: None

Condition: This is a gorgeous 806 Navitimer with a blemish. Nevertheless, in the metal (and in the pics) it’s a very attractive timepiece. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find out when and how the dial became indented, it will always be a mystery. The affected area, the right sub-register, operates as it should. Chrono resets to 12:00. The watch winds and keeps good time, and the movement is incredibly clean. Yet, like any vintage watch with an unknown history, a movement service is recommended.

Comments: This 1967 Breitling 806 Navitimer was acquired from the estate of the original owner in 2017.

Terms and conditions of sale: Three-day return policy if the timepiece purchased is not the one pictured, or as described. A returned timepiece will be scrutinized in detail to make sure no parts have been altered or damaged in any way. Buyer is responsible for the cost of postage and insurance of any returned item. All international sales are final -- No Exceptions.
In-person transactions, within a secured location, are possible in Los Angeles, CA.
Accepted forms of payment are wire transfer, check/money order, Zelle, PayPal, or cash if making a transaction in person. Packages will not be sent prior to the receipt and full transference of funds, regardless of the form of payment.
