For sale is a Tudor Big Block chronograph 79180 that is basically a catch and release for me. Within a couple of weeks of buying this from NKflyer [http://rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=362175], I found a great deal on an older Vacheron Overseas Chronograph that I just could not pass up. Both of these watches have silver/white dials and I just don’t need or want two watches with very similar dials/bracelets.
Details from NKflyer:
- Original silver dial with white subdials
- Serial number B538xxx is circa 1991
- Original bracelet has minimal stretch and features 12 links total (which I believe is 1 link short)
- Service history unknown but chronograph starts, stops, and resets as it should
- Comes with correct inner & outer box, but no papers
I just got it mid-August so it has only been worn a few times by me, and the condition hasn’t changed from the original description. It runs well and has kept good time the short duration I’ve owned it. As noted, there are nicks and scratches on the case/bezel/band/crystal but nothing that I think anyone would consider a deal-breaker. Hopefully the pictures and the ones in the original thread show the condition to everyone’s satisfaction. I’m happy to answer any questions and can try additional photographs if requested. I’m also throwing in the Timex strap (a whopping $10 value) and some 20mm pins for your strap of choice.
My asking price is $3600 (which includes PayPal fees and CONUS shipping), or $3500 via wire. I am restricting this to the CONUS only for now, but may consider international sales if the buyer agrees to cover the additional shipping/import costs and accepts that once out of my hands, I can't be held responsible for customs/shipping issues. I won't misrepresent the customs value, so please don't ask. I really prefer a straight sale and I am not looking to trade at the moment. That being said, the only trades I’d consider would be chronographs that I think would fit into my collection. I can provide multiple references from TRF/TZ/WUS etc., and may ask the same of any prospective buyer.
