Post subject:  RULES FOR BUYING/SELLING/TRADING! **READ THIS FIRST**

DO NOT RESPOND DIRECTLY TO ANY LISTING ASKS YOU TO ONLY RESPOND TO AN EMAIL LINK. ONLY USE PM TO RESPOND. THIS IS A COMMON SCAMMER TRAIT.

Remember, buying and selling is at your own risk. We do not endorse any of these sellers... checking of feedback and credibility should be done by you, prior to completing a transaction. Buy the seller, not the watch!

If you violate the rules, your entire thread might just be deleted. You need to read the rules before you post here!

Some quick rules:

1. Please only list watches and watch related items for sale in here.

2. When you are selling something, list the PRICE! This is a non-negotiable requirement, and failure to provide a price may result in your sales thread being deleted. Also as this is a global site it is advisable to state the currency your price is in, along with any shipping charges, and your preferred methods of payment (e.g. PayPal, etc). Listing your location is always a good idea if it is not under your name, and it's also worth saying where you will ship to and where you won't. If you are wanting to trade it, you must still specify a trade value.

3. Proof of Ownership Photos. (Effective from 12th May 2020) Please include at least one photo of the item you are selling with a piece of paper clearly in shot, showing the following written on it -
. a) Your forum Username (e.g. Driver8),
. b) The current date (e.g. 12th May 2020), and
. c) The word "BreitlingSource".
. d) If the item is a watch, then in that picture the watch must be set to 10:37, and the date (if applicable) set to 7.
Failure to provide at least one photo that complies with this rule may result in your entire thread being deleted without warning. (Assistance on uploading pictures here - Click here for How to Upload Pictures)

4. Please ensure you list the condition of your item in your sales thread. We do not insist on a formal condition-rating scale here, so please just be sensible and honest, ideally backing up your claims with decent quality photos. However if you wish to use a generally accepted watch forum condition-rating system, click here for details, along with a useful list of commonly used sales acronyms.

5. No selling of replicas or replica parts/accessories. Absolutely NO exceptions!

6. No sales of warranty cards/booklets or authenticity paperwork, or other "individual-watch-specific" items (e.g. COSC certificates) that could be used to falsify the authenticity of another watch. (Non-specific-watch items such as manuals and boxes are OK).

7. Please NO DEALERS OR COMMERCIAL SALES UNLESS YOU ARE A FORUM SPONSOR. Please email me if you are a dealer and wish to advertise your watches here. Current sponsors are now permitted to list their wares here under the same rules and regulations as regular non-commercial sellers as I have removed the Dealer's Corner since there aren't that many commercial sellers. If you are selling watches FOR a dealer, you are a dealer.

8. Please ensure that all watches/watch-related items you post for sale are in your possession. The sales forum is designed for private individuals to sell items they own, not for links to other watches/items being sold elsewhere.

9. No eBay auctions or links to eBay in this forum. (Please post ebay auctions here - Click here for Ebay Auctions Sub-Forum). This forum is for selling, not listing auctions - too much room for abuse. Also No Auction-Style listings. You are listing for a sale price (see Rule 2). If you have multiple buyers and they wish to compete for pricing, use private messages. All price negotiation should happen via PM.

10. A separate thread per item is now allowed in the sales forum.

11. Please do not criticize the prices. If you wish to pay less, send a PM negotiating the price. People should feel comfortable asking whatever price they want.

12. Please refrain from 'bumping' your sales thread more than once every 24 hours.

13. When your item is sold, please mark it as SOLD in the title. You can do this by editing the title field in your original post in the sales thread. This way you don't get a bunch of PM's from disappointed buyers PM'ing you just to find out it sold two weeks ago. However, please DO NOT delete any content out of your sales thread post. If you do, it can render the entire thread worthless, and even old sales threads are a valuable resource for the forum.

14. Lastly, once your transaction is complete, it's really useful if you give some feedback on the buyer/seller in the Feedback sub-forum here - Click here for Feedback Sub-Forum. This one isn't compulsory, but it can help improve the buying and selling process for everyone if you do.

That is all for now, carry on!
