Hello, I have been searching for this watch with the silver dial and can't seem to find it anywhere. I know it was limited but does anyone have any advice on getting hold of one. It's the only Breitling I really want at this time. Also does anyone know if the standard version also comes with an open back or not. Many thanks.

Here's a link from someone lucky enough to have it :) http://breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewt ... =5&t=30641

Yes, the standard version also comes with the display back.

+1 - that's the exact watch/combo I'd pick out of the current lineup.

I know that Breitling are getting a great deal of criticism for many of their new styles and bezels, and I agree that there is much about the current line up that leaves me cold. But I have a number of Breitlings with the old style bezels such as the Avenger and I also own a Navi 01. The Transocean Chrono is a beautiful Breitling and I've been longing for one the silver dial for a while now. I hope to get the limited, but if I can't I'll go ahead and get the non-limited. Either way I have to have this watch :).

PS, as I understand you couldn't get the face as pictured in the link in the OP in the standard. That is, the LE as pictured there has silver sub-dials on silver, but the standard has black sub-dials on silver, eg:

Yes, I can see that now although I did not realise it before. I do like the silver on silver on the limited though. I also notice that the 'B' is gold and the hands are also edged in what looks like black on the limited, wheras on the standard they are silver and non-etched respectively. For me then it has to be the limited. If I can get it. Does anyone have it?

You haven't said where you are but if it were me I'd start with the nearest of the forum sponsor ADs.

Yes, the LE have a rose gold B as opposed to white gold on standard.
The hands are the same on all, LE and standard, silver with a thin stripe of lume in the middle.
I think the black edges might be just a light reflection.
