Up for sale is my Breitling Crosswind. It is two-tone gold and stainless steel chronograph as you can see in the photos. I am the original and one and only owner of this watch, having purchased it from an authorized dealer in December, 1997. The reason that I am selling it is because I just don't wear it that much anymore. Have another new watch on the way, and the only way I can buy a watch now (without my wife causing me serious bodily injury) is to sell one of my watches to make room, and free up some funds. Enough about my domestic issues, let's talk about the watch.
The watch comes complete with all original boxes and papers. There are a couple of links that I had removed when the watch was sized, and those are included also. I'll also include the receipt from my original purchase. The watch is 42.7mm in diameter, and 15.3mm thick. If you need more details on the specs, let me know. In accordance with TZ grading standards, I would grade the condition of this watch as very good to excellent.. There are scratches on the band, clasp, and bezel which naturally appear on a watch that is worn, otherwise known as "desk diving" marks by us watch addicts. These are hairline scratches which can be easily buffed out when the watch is serviced. There are no deep scratches or gouges on this watch. I tend to baby my watches, and have done the same with this one. I could have these buffed out, but I am leaving it to the new owner to decide when and if he or she wants to have them buffed out. The sapphire crystal is in perfect condition. No scratches at all on the crystal or the AR coating.
The watch runs great and keeps good time. I have kept it on a winder in my safe for most of its life when not being worn. Over the past 8 years or so, I've probably only worn it once every two weeks or so. I apologize for my less than stellar photo taking talents. I took some of these outside for lighting purposes. If you would like to see more photos, let me know and I can email more pics.
I am offering this watch for $2900, which will include insured shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Payment via wire transfer preferred, but will accept Paypal if the buyer covers the 2.9% Paypal fee. Will only ship within the continental USA. Watch is located in South Texas.
I just discovered this site, so am posting my watch here. I am a long time poster on another major watch forum, and have sold a few watches over the past several years. If you need references, let me know and I can provide those. If you want more info about me, let me know and I can get that for you. Also, if you'd like to talk via the phone, send me a PM and I'll give you my phone number. Feel free to fire away with any questions. You can PM me or email me at
