Bit of a long shot this one, but hopefully someone here may be able to point me in the right direction.

What I'm looking for is a very high quality watch box, ideally with the following attributes -

- Designed for ONE watch
- Black lacquer finish
- Polished chrome or steel fittings (hinges, etc)
- Closed lid (i.e. no glass windows, etc)
- Draw for spare straps/tools
- Black velvet or leather interior (leatherette at a push)

A while ago there was a guy in Germany producing this kind of thing, but I can't remember who it was, or how to find him.

Amy ideas gents??

Rainer or Rainier is I believe what you're looking for. His ebay username is finestboxes.

Ah yes, that's the chap Justin! Thanks for the reminder!

Those are so close to what I'm after - just a shame he doesn't have any with a drawer from straps too.

I wouldn't doubt him being able to make something custom if you wanted.

About a year or so ago I enquired directly with Rainier about a 6 watch box with a strap drawer and the reply was that one would be coming available soon. None were available at the time and I don't believe custom work came up. To be honest I stopped looking a few months after my initial enquiry so have no idea if one was ever built or not. Please let me know how it goes as I'm still open to that option as my current watch box is broken.
