Hello! First breitling... Super ocean chrono
The a13 . First, I took watch to Swiss watch
Center to have them check it before I purchased
Watch. He opened it up and said everything
Looks ok. My problem is staying wound. Works
Great if I wind it but not on winder. I adjusted
Winder angle and rotation, ( 1000 cw )
Its not staying wound on winder.
Its an 05... So " im gonna have to choke up
600 for an overhaul? " ; (((
Sad in florida! Lol

Ratchet is watch and handle is rotor it should
Be ccw? Right??

All threads split from the irrelevant ones that they were posted in and merged into the same thread in the right section.

Welcome to BreitlingSource. The setting of the winder should be the same as the watch needs - clockwise winding means the winder should be set for clockwise winding, otherwise nothing will happen. You also have to make sure that the watch sits vertically in the winder or it won't wind.

If it still doesn't wind then you may have a problem with the automatic winding, but I would try those first.

Thank you for help... Am very new.
My first watch was a rolex gmt master..
Back n the Navy circa 80's.
Never heard of breitling then. Had that watch
Through 2 wives a plethora of girl friends
And jobs... It never let me down, It had
One overhaul.. In twenty plus years and
I sold it for more than I paid and still got
Robbed! Ha ha!
So my first Breitling and I was just hoping
I could make it a year to overhaul... Though
The poor watch has been waiting on one for
Awhile!
Anyone have any advice ... Also my first
Auto chrono..

If it's overdue for a service which is what you imply, and it is showing symptoms of needing a service, then it needs servicing!
