Gentleman,

I've just picked up a used Colt A74380 (aka Colt Quartz II), the Superquartz model from around 2005.

It's in generally nice condition, but the Pro II bracelet could do with some touching up. It's the correct 812A end link version, and I think it was originally in a satin-brushed finish - can anyone confirm that? Or was a high-polish version option available?

The bracelet I have dates from 2005, and is covered in micro-scratches, and I want to ask my watchmaker to see if he can tidy it up, but I'd like to make sure that I ask him to do the correct thing (i.e. rebrush rather than polish).

If it helps, the bezel and tops of the lugs are satin-brushed, while the case sides and bezel sides are mirror-polished.

Any pointers would be gratefully received!

Cheers,

Mike 8)

812A is correct and it should be brushed.
811A is the same end link, but it's for A17380 and A73380, and it should be polished.

Thanks bnewbie - I was fairly sure it was the brushed version, but nice to have it confirmed.

Now, to convince my watchmaker that he really wants to rebrush it.... :poke:

Cheers!
