Hello,

My Father has recently purchased a Breitling Super Avenger II, he really wants a winding watch box for it so i thought it would be a perfect Birthday gift.

I have tried to have a look for some but there seem to be so many i am getting confused. I think it requires 800TPD clockwise. my budget is around £100-£150.

Somebody also said that you should get a box which when the watch is attached it should run parallel with the floor, due to the weight? is this true because all the boxes I’ve seen are at angle.

Would anyone be able to recommend any within my budget?

Thank You.

Running a watch winder with the watch parallel to the floor - i.e. horizontal, won't do any good at all - it won't wind the watch!

Not sure what UK prices are like but at that budget you are probably limited to Chinese winders which are pretty much all the same internally (and that's not a good thing). Many threads here recommending Wolf winders but not sure if those will be in your budget.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

As Roff says, Wolf are good. And you're in luck: a good one such as the Heritage single is currently discounted, £300 down to £150:

You can rank all their winders by price @

Singles start at just over £100.

A low cost option are the winders sold by Brookstone. I have 2 for the past few years and both are still as quiet as a mouse. You can customize TPD and forward/reverse or combination of both.
