Hi all. I'm pretty new here. I had a two tone chrono at in the mid-nineties and I have had a SA for about two years. My question is this; I love the look of the Pilot bracelet....is it possible to fit one to the SA? I'm assuming they come in 24mm, but I'm unsure about the end pieces. I know they can be an issue when switching bracelet styles. Thanks in advance for the info.

Bracelet end links are unique so you won't get a Pilot to fit on an SA. There also isn't a 24mm Pilot.

If the Pilot won't work, how about the Speed bracelet from the B4B series? It looks Pilot-esque.

There is a 24mm Speed but as I said the end links of each bracelet are unique for each model. You might get one to physically fit but it won't fit properly.

Isn't there a 24mm pilot for the Chronomat GMT?

You're right, I had forgotten that one. But it still wouldn't fit an SA.

I once fitted an older Speed bracelet (which is similar to the Pilot in terms of having 5 rows) from one of my Bentleys to an SA to see what it looked like. It fits, but not perfectly -

I fit my 24mm pilot from my GMT Chronomat to my SA. It didn't look the greatest because the end link is a different shape than the lug on the case, but it fit.

Physically they generally fit because the approximate location of the spring bar holes is the same. However the problems are usually around the way that it moves relative to the watch because the end links don't fit properly to the case. Either the bracelet doesn't fit flush enough (end links too large) or the bracelet moves too much at the end links (end links too small).

That was also the case. The endlink moves freely on the chronomat because the sides of the case are angled, whereas the SA has straight case sides so the end link was hitting the case, that would ultimately lead to damaging the case and bracelet.
If the OP wants a different bracelet option, the mesh from a SOH 46 works great and looks good too. I will post a pic tomorrow.

The advantage that the mesh bracelets have is that they have straight end links so they will fit fine on all cases, the only potential issue is with watches with larger lugs where the gap between case and bracelet may look visually rather large with mesh.

When I drool over the Chronomat B01, it seems to have a bracelet with straight end links similar to the ones on the SO Heritage 46. Does this come in 24mm?

It's a pilot bracelet, and as discussed the end links are unique to each model - what you are seeing are simply less curved end links for that particular case. The 24mm pilot from the 47mm GMT physically fits between the lugs of an SA, but doesn't properly fit to the case.
