I have a Breitling Colt ChronoOcean with a steel bracelet that I have lost one of the top links to. I tried to use the one of the extra links i had removed to replace it but they will not fit for the top ones. Genuine Breitling bracelets are way to expensive so I've decided to replace it with an after market leather strap. I don't think this model came with a leather strap option so i'm not sure what will look the best. Can anyone recommend a leather strap that will look as close as possible to an original Breitling? the watch i have is dark blue face with white chrono dials.

Thanks,
Armen

Have you tried contacting your local Breitling AD to see if they could order a replacement for the lost link for you?
They should be able to do it unless Breitling do not have them in stock anymore.
With a bit of perseverance and patience you might be able to find one on eBay.
In the meantime, you could not go wrong with with a nicely padded black calf with white stitching to complement the white chrono dials.
There are plenty of after market strap suppliers that make "Breitling style straps" at different price levels if you don't want to spend the $200 or so on an OEM one.
A few minutes with google will point you in the right direction.

Thank you for the reply. I've tried unsuccessfully to contact a couple of Breitling resellers for the link, but will keep trying.

I've decided to go with a nice deployment clasp and strap but can't find a breitling style deployment clasp for 18mm lugs / 16mm buckle. All the after market deployment clasps for breitlings are 20/18 or bigger. Here is the one i'm thinking of getting and just shaving a little from the sides to fit 18mm lugs.

If you know where i can find 18/16 (after market, oem is to expensive) deployment clasp and strap I would really appreciate it.

I'm looking at those bands myself, can't decide vs Croc or Sharkskin.

Great site. The quality of the straps and clasps look as good as the ones from WatchObsessions and their a US company which should make the purchase easier. The clasp you mentioned in your post is actually more for a TAG. Here is the one they have that is the Breitling style. http://www.strappedfortime.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=40

I like the dark brown alligator print with the above clasp
