Just noticed my text hadn't shown up in the post.

I just finished making these three. I've been toying with making straps for a couple months after I spent money on a custom and it turned out pretty shabby. There is a learning curve to doing this right; and no doubt I still have room for improvement. I would have to say I like these WAY better than my first attempts.

Let me know what you guys think. Feedback is the best way to improve going forward. Thx.

Dave, all three are very nice, my choice would be the hornback/black/black,
would think this would be a perfect Panerai strap !

why do you add stitching at the strap end that goes through the buckle ?

I assume you are doing the stitching by hand, it is getting a lot more exact,
but bright contrasting colors are maybe still a bit too revealing.

Admirable steps & beautiful straps !

Thx again, Fred! Now if I just had a Pan to put one on .... maybe 5 years from now. Nah, still can't see me dropping the coin on one even then; no matter how much I love watches.

I am cutting, gluing, and stitching all by hand. Would have no clue on how to safely operate a sewing machine.

I add the tip stitching for looks and that extra bit of strength since it is pushed in and out of the keeper so frequently. I think my stitching is leaps and bounds ahead of when I started, but is the one spot I need the most improvement. Time and practice. Is it that the stitching looks misplaced or crooked, or what? (not questioning your opinion, just need the outside eyes view)

Now this one I really like :D

How tough are they to sew, and how long do they take you to make?
