Where would be the most affordable place I could buy either a leather or a croc strap for my Super Avenger? Also what would be best deployment or the regular?

Does anyone one have a strappedfortime band on their breitlings?

I realy like the selection an pricing of these hand made straps less expensive than Breitling with more choices the tang or deployment is a personal choice. Several members here use Stone Creek straps .

if youre not too sure and you just wanna try different combos, waccex from ebay is the way to go in my view. they make quality straps at very reasonable price. i just ordered 4 in calf and croco grain leather from them at 25 per as i couldnt decide. you can also get deployant buckle from ebay as well, at about 40 for the breitling knockoff - to be used with bretiling style straps with no holes.

bj straps seems like a very nice option... they can custom make anything and i asked recently if he could do b-style strap and he said no prob. i asked also if he can do heavier domed padding to mimic oem and he said no prob. i may order an $85 croc from him at some point but im kinda full on straps at the moment.

i did also buy a black oem calf strap for 170 and im trying to decide between it and the waccex strap i got for 25. so far i cant really tell the difference in wear comfort so i will prob look to sell the oem here shortly. oem does feel softer when i handle it but softness is not discernible enough to me when i wear it.

i will try to post pics of my grey dial skyracer with different straps if that helps you.

the convenience of deployant cant be beat... tho i understand some dont like the discomfort it can cause. im liking it so far... and i love how different the watch looks with each different strap i put on.

It's your watch, wear what you want. Some people do it a lot, some would never do it - who cares - you pays your money, you takes your choice!

as roff said, its your watch. you should do as you please.

i personally dont care what anyone says about my watch, my car, my clothes. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

dont get me wrong, its always nice to hear people say nice things about you and your possessions. and i can understand some who feel they want nothing to do with non oem. to each his own.

so to answer your question, some would frown... others wont. there are many degrees of non oem straps - abp(250+), bj(85), to my waccex(25). if you have nagging thoughts of others snickering at you for using aftermarket, then i prob wouldnt do it.

I had a strapped for time band on my watch for a while. It looked nice but seemed to of worn out quickly. Im prob going to go with another aftermarket band again.

Well I just got my waccex strap it. Looks good but it is exactly like the strap I got from strappedfortime.com a few years back. Only difference is its stamped "bob" on the back of the strap.

here's my bj's croco strap. very textured strap so it has a different look vs most others ive seen. heavily padded ala oem so it looks very full at the lug. im very satisfied with the strap... excellent quality. not sure im loving the color combo for my grey dial skyracer. i may opt to go black. i ordered a black calf already so ill come back here once i get it.
