I have just bought a brown Hirsch Rally for a vintage Breitling and the brown is a little dark/ uniform for my liking. I know i could wait and let time do its thing, but have any of you guys ever tried lighten or age a strap before? If so, how did you do it? Did it work?

for the brave soul above, this darkens the strap but substitute one of the chemical with say bleech ???? and it could lighten it ?????
