Post subject:  Is a Watch Winder Necessary?

I'm looking to potentially buy a winder but really want this forums feedback first. Most of the discussions that I've been able to find relating to watch winders are from biased websites - i.e. sites designed to sell them. In my narrow opinion a winder is convenient - you don't have to wind and date set if you exceed the power reserve and it reduces wear on the winder. Does anyone feel differently?

If you do recommend that one be used - is there a particular brand out there that is a good value? I'd be looking for a two seater <= $150

:santa:

IMO they are highly convenient, and the pros outweigh any potential cons.

Pick up one of the winders from Brookstone. They look and work great as well as being very quiet.

Without a valid promo code (tried "Holiday 50") these are a little out of my range - but still very nice.

If you are looking for a single watch winder, this is a good one and it is half off without a promo code. https://www.wolfdesigns.com/watch-winde ... le-2-cover - just under $200.

Anything cheaper will not be worth the money in my experience.

Price sounds good. But how long will it last given its origin? Got any positive experience with it?

Wolf has a good reputation and warranty. Several of the ADs I visit are also Wolf ADs. I have had no issues with mine, unlike the super-cheapies I used to get - Garmin and Diplomate.
