Hello,

What Breitling bracelet models (e.g. 423a) will fit a Cosmonaute model a22322. Will any 22/20mm Breitling bracelet fit or does it require a special link at the ends?

Thanks for your help!

I have deleted your duplicate and triplicate threads - please don't double post.

You need 423a or 440a, the second has the raised logo on the clasp.

Thanks! What makes either of those fit whereas another 22/20 would not? For example, I think 475a is a 22/20. I'm indifferent as to the specifics of the link pattern (ie 3, 5, 7-wide ....) Thanks so much for clarifying further.

It's the shape of the endlinks, not the number of links. They are all uniquely shaped to fit closely against the case.

One more while I have you. Will the earlier generation 5-link wide ("Old Nav Cosmo"?) band fit it?

Not sure.

Case for that generation Cosmonaute is the same size so logically yes, but not sure if the lug dimensions are identical - springbar hole location for example.

Will a 431a fit? According to AuthenticWatches.com, all of these will fit. Is that true?

442A / 441A / 431A / 425A / 423A

That's not true at all. They are 22/20, but not the same.

431a and 442a are the same, 442a just has the raised logo on the clasp and they are both for the regular, non in house Navitimer.

425a and 441a are the same, again 441a has the raised logo and they are for the Datora

As we established several weeks ago in this thread 423a and 440a (latter with the raised logo) is for the Cosmonaute.

Thank you again. I saw an auction on ebay and the seller directed me to the website I mentioned above. That website groups all six models together seemingly implying that they are interchangeable. Truly appreciate you setting the record straight. I assume the material difference as far as fitting one model and not the other are the endlinks.

Late reply. I just noticed this thread. Affirmative. The 5 segment per link "Old Nav/Cosmo" bracelet circa mid 90's fits perfectly (springbar hole location and interhorn geometry included) and IMO is the most attractive because the end links fit flush to the case in contrast to the 423A and 440A end links which are "gapped" on each side. I have worn my "Old Nav/Cosmo" bracelet and my 423A on my A22322 Cossie, A12023 display back Cossie, A13019 Old Nav and A13020 Old Navitimer II. I much preferred the 5 segment bracelet over the 423A on any of them. If you have an opportunity to pick up one of the Old Nav/Cosmo bracelets, do it. You can't go wrong with that classic beauty.
Best,
Ron
