Contact me for a quote. There's no charge for local pickups in Dallas, or I charge a flat $100 freight shipping fee plus the cost of a couple MRE's. Your product should arrive in 2-3 weeks to most destinations in the CONUS (I take no responsibility for losses or damaged goods with shipping as they are impossible to insure!). Blame Sharkman for the higher inventory prices I'm charging since his retainer fee for legal services with my newly founded import company are through the roof!

Code doesn't work on the UK version of their site - been looking at these for a while now but couldn't justify - thought my luck was in for a while!

Belay that!

I can just order from the US site instead and get the 50% discount. I've got to pay postage which they're going to contact me about; when they do that I'll have to find out if I'm likely to be hit with import duties and also whether I'll end up with a unit that runs on the wrong voltage and has one pin short on the plug!!!

On a serious note...If that doesn't work out, then I'd be more than happy to purchase you one and ship it to you for my cost. Just let me know if you need some help!

Thank you very much for your kind offer - I may well take you up on that!

Yes they did, got the mail just a few minutes ago. Postage will be free as they will fulfill the order from their UK office and they are willing to honour the 50% reduction as offered in the US. Doesn't seem too bad to me!

I have just asked if there is a 50% off code that can be used on the UK site - I'll let you know what she says.

Got my set of 4 4.1s yesterday. I'm planning on setting them up this weekend.

What's your first impression - good build quality and nice appearance?

A quick note to any Brits looking to take advantage of this offer:

The offer code very kindly provided by the OP does not work directly on the UK site (at time of writing) but I have been advised by Anna at Wolf Designs that it will be honoured by the UK operation.

Just type the code instead into the comments box and they will manually adjust the pre-tax cost down by 50% prior to charging your card.

As a reminder, the 50% off code is 'WDSUMMER50'.

The code will only be honoured once per person, so make sure you get all you need in the one order.

Its hard to compare if you haven't had a "nice" winder before. I had the cheap "large cabinet, 2 to a motor" winder. This setup is far more compact. It's not a jewelry box and I knew that going in. Plastic, but purposeful. The door covers just sort of pop off, not very elegant, but again, intended to be a cover, not a door. The modular pieces fit snugly and the power cords integrate nicely so you only have to plug into one outlet. If you haven't used cuffs before, they take a little getting used to, a little more time, but the watch is secure. In my old cheapie, the watch could slide off the pillow. All sorts of adjustability in the rotation direction and revolutions. A cool touch, the adjustment knobs are backlit and activated by touch with the knobs. With the watches in, everything working, it really looks nice. I'll try to take a picture in daylight.

After a while the springs in the cuff stay compressed and it's easy to ge the watch on. Just takes a few days.

One correction. The digital readout lights up when the adjustment knobs are touched. Where the unit sits, I had problems getting a good pic, but I'll try the real camera. My wife noticed last night how quiet the units are.

I'll learn, eventually.

By the way, Ariel Adams reviewed the six winder Viceroy over at Ablogtoread this morning. They also have a discount code, good through October 17. Decent review, but as opposed to his experience, my 4.1 ( which I'm still trying to photograph properly) does remember the number of revolutions if you turn a winder off to take or replace a watch.

Not that this matters, but my teenaged daughter took one look at it and said, "Cool".

Thanks very much, Scott.

Function over form has to be my mindset as dictated by my bank balance! Glad that the form doesn't appear to be cheap - I think I'll be happy with this.

Cheers.
