Custom Winder help. Advice Please.

Hopefully not just seen as another winder thread!

As a furniture designer and maker I have decided to design and make an, area shall we say! for my watches. Whether that, area, be a wall display or a build in cabinet into an alcove I have not decided on yet. Key to this will but a built in watch winder.

I am going to post my pet project on here from initial concept to final product.

The display or cabinet itself may be Walnut with glass as I work a lot with that too. The winder will be behind glass doors.

To start the project I need a good idea of the winder I will be getting as that is central to the project.

The criteria is $500/E400/£350 or hopefully under. I want one that sits vertical not at an incline. This is most important to me as the winder will be displayed at eye level. Minimum 3 heads. Independent controls.

The front runner at the moment is the Wolf Meridian Collection Triple M2.7 But this is not a custom set up, that said I am confident I can incorporate it nicely into what I have in mind.

Second up is S1 watch winder kit for 4 watches. Its more or less ideal but as its going to be build into a custom cabinet I fear of low quality and noise with the S1, with the cost of the display and XXX amount of watches on it 200 euro does not shout quality to me, Or maybe not?

Third in mind is Watch winder kit MTE BASE 3.
Looks good but to include delivery its well over budget and I think its recommend to install at a 12' angle.

Has anyone under taken something like this before? I have not seem any mention of such a prodect here to date.

So any help or advice greatly appreciated.

Outside of your budget, but the best winder 'module' that I have ever seen are the Orbita kits that are sold individually and can be wired in series to accomplish what you are looking for. Otherwise I would look for some other module only pieces that you can just assemble the cabinet for - maybe even a used Orbita Futura / Tourbillon????

I have not undertaken anything like what you are planning, but I can vouch for the Wolf 2.7 as an excellent winder. I have the Viceroy, which stands and runs vertical. Excellent IMO.
