For Christ sake guys give them a chance. The time this LE was done in was bloody amazing, I can only imagine the work that went in to make it happen. It is not as if Steinhart is a fly by night company, I am confident the items will arrive and still looking forward to getting LE II.

I just do not like multiple loose ends if at all avoidable. I would personally like to see the first wrapped up and be happy with it completely before venturing ahead with my money on the second. Certainly you are correct. The first was done in record time. Now, unfortunately, Steinart are becomming victims of their own success.I just do not want to become, as a group, distracted too far from the first that it slips out of memory only to realize, after #2 is here, that #1 was never finished. If you follow Aleister's email trail I can certainly see how confusion may abound if that happens. Just my thoughts. Ignore at will. :|

This morning, while heading out to the airport, I had a delivery from Steinhart. It contained two straps with buckles, but no papers. My guess is that the straps then are to make up for the case flaw.

I didn't bring the straps / my Steinhart on the trip, but the two straps I got were the "Special Grey" and "Special Tabak", easily found on their website. I will however post pics with the two straps mounted when I get back in two weeks time.

i got another fedex tracking from steinhart today. not sure if it's for the watch i had to send back or the papers. since no one else has chimed in about getting the same email i'm guessing it's the watch they're sending back to me.

Yeah, me too. I am kinda surprized that the extra strap, papers and possible box hasnt been shipped out. While I know that we are only 15 watches out of the hundreds (or thousands) that they sell, I kinda wonder if we've been put on the back burner.

Made my decision on the LE2. I am out. Followup has not been what i expected on the LE1.

Nice watch, but sure would like to have the papers, strap and box we were promisd with the purchase.

Guys, Gubther is doing his best to accomidate our requests. We wanted custom watches to be done in a month and he came through plus giving us a huge discount, I think he deserves if we cut him some slack. That said I have been following up with him and the items are being packaged right now, we should be getting our tracking numbers soon. We could have gotten them earlier, but I was looking for a certine quality of strap and did not want to settle on the lower grade ones.

I do agree the wait has been a very long one for the extra items, which is why I think we will wait untill the package is complete before asking Gunter to ship out the LE2 watches.

Back in Tokyo and took some pics of the compensation straps.

Aleister Great straps my friend, those are NOT part of the package and are free gifts to make up for the case flaw.

BACK TO THE SUBJECT AT HAND:

I just got off the phone with my man Gunther, we talked for an hour and he is a SUPER cool guy!!! I love working with him!!! Yes he runs a small company and sometimes outside elements cause delays and hardships but he prevails and insists on making things right for his customers.

Here is the deal guys, we where delayed as we are getting the newer straps which have all the issues worked out with them. Wait till you see these babies! Wowee talk about amazing quality and value!!!

ALSO, we are getting the upgraded box for free (THANK YOU GUNTHER! :mrgreen: ) and of course the paperwork.

I know some of you guys moved around and such so I will recompile the list of addresses and emails, please send me an email (not a PM) with the follwing format

NAME

Address

Phone number

Email used to pay Gunther


You will get the items shipped as soon as I finish compiling the list.



As for the second LE, it was a bit dodgy there for a while as Swiss companies are busy with Basel and Gunther was afraid he might not have gotten all the parts in time but he was able to set up everything! We where hoping for the black onyx dial, which is hard to machine in a sandwich configuration (especially for a chrono!) but that is also worked out! Extra strap and bracelet of course at a reduced pricing to the regular non-featured model.

I have already paid the down payment, and you will all be asked to get ready for payment of the LE2 soon. ADDED BONUS: You can now have engravings on the LE 2 as well! And not limited to six characters anymore :mrgreen:

Hot damn my blood is starting to get hot over this LE, I honestly do think we have something VERY special here folks!!!
