This is a fictional test for the history knowledge necessary to get the british citizenship. I have reached 12/15 and just passed. Not bad for an Austrian, but I have to admit, history is one of my favorits.

You did well. I'm British and just scraped through with 10!

failed with 9, i thought on of the points of a citizenship test was to ensure you have the knowledge of the country you want to live in, up to the same level as its citizens. Those questions are pointless

Though note that it's not a citizenship test, but a newspaper's albeit informed guesstimate at one.

I got 13, but got the NHS and the 'skilled workers' questions wrong.

11 out of 15 for me, so I get to keep my passport! Not totally straightforward though.

I managed to get 11 as well, so I guess I could go back if I wanted. Not sure what the Irish potato famine has to do with Great Britain though :huh

The citizenship test isn't to Great Britain (which isn't a state) but to the United Kingdom. And during the potato famine Ireland was in the United Kingdom (i.e. between the Act of Union effective 1801 and the secession of the Irish Free State in 1922).
