I think that's very reasonable - and to have production ready pieces by Basel is awesome!

Good to know. 5000 Euros is about $6,445US which makes it about as much as a Navitimer on steel now ($6425).

The Navi 125e looks very classy but that bracelet is awful. It looks like something from that awful decade of design, cars, fashion, hair styles and anything else you care to think of the 1970's.

Keep it classy Breitling :lingsrock:

It is a always a tough call when judging from a photo. I thought that about the new Seawolf 2009 when it came out. How I wished that I would have bought the old Titanium model that I had my eyes on for about 5 years, after I had owned my SuperOcean already for 5 years. Then I saw the new Seawolf in the flesh! To make a long story short, I have had a new Seawolf now for a few weeks, and it is my favourite Breitling ever. My SuperOcean was on my wrist for over 10 years, and I have the same feeling about the Seawolf. Odd for something I did not even like from the pics before it first came out.
Cheers,
Carl

Hey Nighthawk give Thomas (Alien) a chance. He's a good guy and he's posted us some great information on here over the past year or so. He just doesn't frequent this place as often as some of us.

I'm sure he'll be only too happy to answer you once he's seen this thread again.

Just a correction from Breitling. The 125 Anniversaire will be 30m water resistant NOT 100m (Unfortunately)

As I have been flamed during my vacation, I can now answer questions...

Breitling is very reluctant in handing out Goodies for free.

Whenever anyone gets a goodie, someone has to pay for that. That means, its either the agent, the AD or the customer. Mr. Schneider won't be the one paying for it.

As the agent in charge for Austria has decided, he will rather invest his money in advertising (highest allover media spending of all watchbrands in Austria), he has not much money leftover to spend in goodies to spoil us. On the other side he is also keeping our markup low (as he needs the money for advertising), so the ADs don't have much interest in buying those things as well.

That reduces the availability of those things quite substantially.

Also those things (except the caps) are not available all the time, and sometimes I have to wait quite long to get something.

By the way, it helps, to contact me personally and not just post in the forum, which I am not reading all the time.

And finally: Yes, its on the homepage, as I have put it there

Thanks for clearing up this for me, and sorry if my posts sounded rude, wasn't ment that way!

P.S. What I wanted to ask, is it true you have to order a certain amount of "normal Lings" to get hold on to some Limited Edition ones? As an AD I mean.

It is not an official rule. But You can be sure, that the best selling ADs have better chances to get a limited edition, than ADs, who only sell a few pieces. But (at least in Austria), there are no really small sellers left over. The minimum collection, You have to have in one store to seriously carry the brand is between 50 to 60 watches. If You cannot sell at least 50 watches a year, you are not earning money, as the turnover is too slow, old watches are left over, You cannot offer all new watches and more. So most smaller ADs have given up carrying a brand like that, as they loose money that way (although it still shows good sales figures).

But for the limited editions, I can show the following figures: There are about 30 AD-doors in Austria (3 of them is us). Depends on how many pieces of an LE the wholesaler gets, if he gets 50, its easy to distribute them, if he gets only 20 or even 10, its quite tough. Sure, there are some specialists (like us  ) who are more active with limited models than some others and some rather say, don't bother with exotics, stick to the basics, but in fact of course the ADs, who are selling the most watches are prefered with LEs.
