Trying to determine if my circa 2001 B-1 has had its original 68 movement replaced during a service with a 78 SQ movement. It had a "full service" in 2010, and it came to me (used) with a COSC certificate. Did it come this way when new, or does BUSA add a COSC cert when the movement is upgraded? Thanks!

My understanding is that if it is a A68062, then no, but yes for A68362 and A78362, as the latter two are COSC certified. However, I do not know if they provide a certificate if they replace the original movement in an A68062 with a Calibre Breitling 78.

Mine is indeed an A68362. Thanks for the reply.

Admittedly not a B-1 but I had an F65062 aerospace with the plain looking back "Manufacture En Susse Aerospace 100M" on it. Sent it to Breitling for a service and it came back with the same serial number but a different back with the two line saying it was a certified chronometer. Didn't get any paperwork other than the bill and invoice stating the innards had been changed out, though.

I called it my F65363 after that. :D
