Hello all! New guy here!

I am trying to identify my fathers Breitling. It's been sitting in a safe deposit box for roughly 10 years. My guess would be its circa 1998-2001.
Here's a picture. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your first and second post!

Keep in mind that not everyone lives on East Coast time. In fact, some of the more knowledgeable members live overseas.

Someone with good knowledge will eventually respond. Give it time.

The watch looks like a Chrono Sextant - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... er_80.html

LOL. I was just surprised that so many had looked, yet no one said anything. I'm not so sure it's a Sextant, because it's an automatic, not quartz

What's the model number on the back? Chrono Sextant is mecha-quartz incidentally.

Only mechanical Windrider series I can think of with 3 / 6 / 9 dial layout and a date is the Shadow flyback and that has a date window further from the dial edge.

@Roffensian,

No model number on caseback. Just says "MANUFACTURE EN SUISSE AUTOMATIC 100M" around the logo in the center

Chrono Cockpit perhaps with the Cal 30 movement.
Various options with different dials , steel only and steel/gold versions were available.
I can post some pics from 96/97 catalogues but it will not be until weekend.
In the meantime, this and a bit of imagination will have to suffice.

There will be a model number on the back, unless it's been polished away. Very small and should start with a D.
