Hi guys, bought my SA on 20th jun and now it has been about 2 mths.
Noticed the SA is running 2mins faster so far.
I guess 2 mths is enough time to break in.

Would like to ask is this normal?
Really unhappy over this issue and didn't have it with my previous watches (not breitling)
Should I send it for service?
I think it's absurd that a new watch should go to service centre for a long downtime.
I also worry they will cause more scratches and create more problems later.

Running fast is usually a sign that the watch needs a service. What is the provenance of the watch? Is it new from dealer or second hand purchase? how old is the watch??

2 minutes total in 2 months or 2 minutes fast a day? If the former that's pretty good as it's running about 2 seconds fast a day if the latter it needs attention.

I read it as 2 minutes in 2 months which is about as close to perfect as you can get with a new watch that is still settling. If it's 2 minutes a day then you have an issue, if it's 2 minutes in total then there is absolutely nothing wrong.

Have it demagnitized at your local watchmaker or AD with inhouse watchmaker.
99% sure this 10 second job will fix your problem !!

But it sounds like it is +2 minutes in 2 months total - and that is including settling of a new watch. If it's magnetised then I would keep it that way because that's pretty darn perfect!!

I collected my watch today and no travel case, just stuffed the watch in some plastic.
Best of all I found out today that the AD wrote the wrong serial number of my watch on the warranty card when I collected back my watch and warranty card from the service centre!!!

Really speechless how such a thing can happen

2 minutes in what time period? COSC specs are -4 to +6 seconds a day so 2 minutes in anything more than a 3 week period is perfectly within specs.

5secs fast in any 24 hours then it stays at that.......bought last day of 2009 never been off for longer than a couple of hours at most...not stored in a cocoon, a piece thats used .....still in pristine condition, all i ever hoped for in a Breitling watch...... Model A13370. (563) blue with white........
worth the 50 years wait to buy it...... :lingsrock:
